2015 Könyvekben- 2015 in Books

Az idei újraolvasásaim: Amy Harmon: Making Faces, Amy Harmon: The Law of Moses, Amy Harmon: The Song of David, Katie McGarry: Pushing the Limits – Feszülő húr, Julie Johnson: Like Gravity, Katja Millay: The Sea of Tranquility – Nyugalom tengere, Colleen Hoover: Losing Hope – Reményvesztett

0. Summary

This year I read 164 books which is 54.772 pages in total. My shortest read was Challenging Zed by Joss Stirling with 32 pages, my longest read was Oblivion by Jennifer L. Armentrout which was 1006 pages with the plus two bonus books (Onyx and Opal) in Daemon’s POV.

My re-reads of 2015: Amy Harmon: Making Faces, Amy Harmon: The Law of Moses, Amy Harmon: The Song of David, Katie McGarry: Pushing the Limits, Julie Johnson: Like Gravity, Katja Millay: The Sea of Tranquility, Colleen Hoover: Losing Hope

I also planned a Say the Word by Julie Johnson and a The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C. Cherry re-read too, but unfortunately I ran out of time in 2015.

I started my blog in August this year and ever since you visited it 11.000 times, from 67 countries. Most visitors were from Hungary, the second most from the USA, and the third place goes to Romania. The most visited day was September 21 when I had 1559 visitors. 🙂 I can’t thank enough for all your support and kindness. In exchange I try to make my post as good and high quality as I can and I try to always recommend you great books. 🙂

  1. Best book you’ve read so far in 2015

I am really lucky because this year I could read so many wonderful books, and they could take me on so many amazing journeys. A lot of them landed on my favorite shelf and it was pretty hard choosing between them, but these were my Top 5 reads in 2015:

  1. Best sequel you’ve read in 2015

We absolutely can’t complain about the sequels in this year. These were my Top 5 sequel reads:

  1. Biggest disappointment

The low point of my reads of 2015 definitely was After by Anna Todd. I’m so sorry if I hurt anybody’s feelings, but this was my one and only read EVER I could gave only 1 star for. It was a really bad experience, it was annoying and I really hated reading it. I honestly suffered through all the 592 pages, but it didn’t work for me at all.

  1. Legnagyobb meglepetés

Szerencsére a csalódás mellett, idén ért sok-sok meglepetés is, ezek közül kiemelném a Top 5 meglepetést. 🙂
🙂 A másik M. K. Schiller: A Girl By Any Other Name című könyv, ami a borzalmas borító ellenére, nagyon-nagyon jó volt! A harmadik könyv az egyik kedvenc írónőm egyik kötete volt, Jay McLean: Where the Road Takes Me című könyve, amely kapcsán őszintén szólva értetlenül állok a GR pontszámok előtt. 🙂

  1. Biggest surprise.

Luckily besides the one big disappointment I got so many great surprises. Here are my Top 5:

Vain by Fisher Amelie was one of the books I had no information AT ALL and it was shockingly amazing! I highly recommend it! Becoming Calder and Finding Eden by Mia Sheridan shown me a different world I didn’t knew anything before. It was an earth-shattering experience.

And to tell the truth I rarely read books under 4.00 Goodreads rating, but this year three books with lower ratings could still surprise me. The first one Stupid Girl by Cindy Miles which I only chose because the nice cover (I know-I know :)) but it was quite great. The other one was A Girl By Any Other Name by M. K. Schiller. I really loved this book! Please don’t chase me with pitchforks and torches but this story reminded me a little of Leo by Mia Sheridan and I loved this story a little more. 🙂 And my last surprise was in this department Where the Road Takes Me by Jay McLean. She is one of my favorite authors and I really-really don’t understand the Goodreads ratings! This book is so-so good! Moreover Kick Push by the author is related for this book and this was another 5 stars favorite for me in 2015! 🙂

  1. Favorit new author. (Debut or new to you)

I discovered this year so many amazing authors who became favorites for me, among others Amy Harmon, Brittainy C. Cherry, Mia Sheridan, Jay McLean and Julie Johnson. Of the debut authors S.D. Hendrickson, Ava Dellaira and Ani Keating could stole my heart. 🙂

  1. Legújabb kedvenc karakter

Finn Chambers Julie Johnson: Like Gravity –ből az idei évben Dean Holder legnagyobb ellenfelévé vált nálam. Super Book Boyfriend nem is kérdés! :)) Illetve számomra minden idők kedvenc női karaktere Kate Sedgwick a Kim Holden: Bright Side-ból. Megismételhetetlen szereplő.

6. Newest favorit character

I think Finn Chambers from Like Gravity by Julie Johnson became the biggest completion of Dean Holder. Absolutely super book boyfriend.:)) My most favorite heroine of all time is Kate Sedgwick from Bright Side by Kim Holden. She is so amazing and unrepeatable.

Íme a Top5-ös listám: Az a könyv, ami leginkább a padlóra küldött megállíthatatlan könnyek sorát előidézve a Bright Side volt Kim Holden-től. Ezen kívül folytak a könnyeim Amy Harmon: Making Faces, Lisa de Jong: When it Rains, Brittainy C. Cherry: Loving Mr. Daniels és Julie Johnson: Say the Word olvasása közben…

  1. A book that made you cry

To tell the truth I rarely cry because of books. But there were a few readings in 2015 which broke my heart and made me cry. These are the Top 5 of them:

The book which absolutely sent me to the floor this year was Bright Side by Kim Holden. I just couldn’t stop my flooding tears and I used a whole pack of Kleenex for this book. The books also made me cry during the reading: Making Faces by Amy Harmon, When it Rains by Lisa de Jong, Loving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy C. Cherry and Say the Word by Julie Johnson.

🙂 Brittainy C. Cherry: The Air He Breathes című könyvében a fájdalom mellett humor is akadt bőven és nagyon sokat nevettem ezen a könyvön. 🙂 Renee Carlino: Before We Were Strangers az egyik legszebb „second chance” történet volt, amely igazi melegséget csempészett a mellkasomba. 🙂

8. A book that made you happy

In this category I chose that Top 5 books which made me laugh or just warmed my heart. 🙂 With This Heart by R. S. Grey made me laugh a lot, and the thing that it has so many massages is just the icing on the cake. 🙂 The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C. Cherry was a really unique book, because besides the pain there were so many laugh and humor. I think Julie Johnson is one of the most humorous authors (by the way she is pretty funny in real life on social media, too :D) so I must bring Cross The Line in my list, because this was the book I was reading with a constant goofy smile on my face. 🙂 Before We Were Strangers By Renee Carlino is one of the most beautiful second chance stories of all time, and it brought so many warmth into my chest. I also loved Lost & Found series by Nicole Williams which made me smile a lot, and it turned out that I have a thing for cowboys. 😉

Ezen kívül a Mentőexpedíció (A marsi) is nagy kedvenc lett. 🙂

  1. Favorite film adaptation of a book you saw this year

I think it was the adaption of The Fault in Our Stars by John Green which I was able to see only in January this year. And I also loved The Martian by Andi Weir.:)

  1. A legszebb könyv, amit idén vásároltál (vagy kaptál)

Íme a könyvespolcom legnagyobb gyöngyszemei:

10. Most beautiful book you’ve bought so far this year (or received)

11. Mely könyvek szerepelnek a 2016-os könyves bakancslistádon?
  • Olvasni Cassia Leo-tól, Lakatos Leventétől, Karina Halle-tól és Calia Read–től, Penny Reid -től, Charles Martin-tól mert ők eddig kimaradtak

  • elolvasni: Mia Sheridan: StingerR.

  • A végtelen várólistámról ezeket a már publikált köteteket mindenképpen szeretném elolvasni 2016-ban: Kristin Hannah: The Nightingale, Nichole King: Love Always, Kate (Love Always, #1), Amber L. Johnson: Puddle Jumping (Puddle Jumping, #1), Kate McCarthy: Fighting Redemption, Rachel Higginson: The Five Stages of Falling in Love, A. Oké néhány biztosan kimaradt a listából. :))

11. Which books are on your 2016 bucket list?
  • Reading something from Cassia Leo, Karina Halle, Calia Read, Penny Reid and Charles Martin because somehow they have been left out up to now.

  • I need to read Stinger by Mia Sheridan and Design by R. S. Grey, because it is such a shame that I missed out that 1-1 book from them.

  • I want to read the rest parts of the Forbidden series by Linda Kage, the Reasonable Doubt series by Whitney Gracia Williams and Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy

  • And these are the already published books I must read in 2016 from my endless TBR list: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, Love Always, Kate (Love Always, #1) by Nichole King, Puddle Jumping (Puddle Jumping, #1) by Amber L. Okay, I definitely missed out a lot. 😀

Bármilyen fontossági sorrend nélkül:

  1. Most anticipated release of 2016

Without any prioritization:

The Law of Moses-t Amy Harmon-tól. :))

  2. A második „nagyszerű” dologként a blogot említeném, amelyet augusztusban indítottam. 🙂

Ismét fontossági sorrend nélkül: Brittainy C. Cherry:The Air He Breathes, Julie Johnson: Cross the Line, Jay McLean: More Than Enough, A. Meredith Walters: Butterfly Dreams, R. S. Grey: The Allure of Dean Harper, Seth King: Invincible Summer, Linda Kage: The Girl’s Got Secrets, Aly Martinez: The Fall Up. Nagyon szépen köszönöm!

  4. A negyedik számomra fontos dolog, amit kiemelnék, egy friss élmény, méghozzá a gyönyörűséges Making Faces, amit a világ legjobb férje csempészett a karácsonyfa alá. ♥

+14. „5 Greats” of your book year (If you haven’t met with „5 Greats” before, you should definitely read The Law of Moses by Amy Harmon! :))
  1. My first “great” only partly linked to books, vvv-3027but thanks for J. K. Rowling, I met with my love of my life 10 years ago when the 6th Harry Potter has been released in English, and when we were only 16 years old! We had our wedding this summer. ♥

  2. My second “great” will be my blog, which I made this year. Since August I made 112 posts and I had a lot of visitors! :))

  3. My third “great” is partly connected to the previous one. It was a huge honor that despite my blog is so young I was chosen for so many ARC-s! Again without prioritization: The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C. Cherry, Cross the Line by Julie Johnson, More Than Enough by Jay McLean, Butterfly Dreams by A. Meredith Walters, The Allure of Dean Harper by R. S. Grey, Invincible Summer by Seth King, The Girl’s Got Secrets by Linda Kage, The Fall Up by Aly Martinez. Thank you so much, I am so-so glad! ♥

  4. My fourth “great” will be the beautiful newest member of my bookshelf. Making Faces by Amy Harmon was a Christmas present from my amazing husband. Oh man, I cried so hard when I got it!  It really touched me that he knew that Amy Harmon is one of my all-time favorite authors and that my biggest dream was a signed copy of one of her marvelous books. Making Faces is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read. ALL of her books became a favorite for me and I also read multiple times The Law of Moses and The Song of David, but Making Faces was my first Amy Harmon book, so this was my first love and this book really means a lot to me! ♥

  5. And last but not least, I am so glad about all of the beautiful experiences I could live through thanks for the amazing books I read this year, and for the lots of friends (you :)) I could meet in the book world.

rowling

elválasztó

And finally I want to wish you a Happy New Year and I would like to thank you to show me so much kindness in this year. I hope you will be with me in 2016, too! <3

And I would like to show you a little tradition of me and my husband. This is the third year when we make little notes when something good happens to us even if it is a little one, we put these notes and little memories in a glass and the last day of the year we open the glass and read them. 🙂
