Tarryn Fisher könyveivel elég változó a kapcsolatom, de az tagadhatatlan, hogy minden egyes története nagyon egyedi. Ez sem egy a tipikus romantikus történet, és nem is egy könnyű olvasmány, bár nem is vártam kevesebbet. Tetszik, hogy az írónő át meri lépni a határokat, és hogy mer különlegeset írni. És tetszik, hogy mer olyan főhősnőket alkotni, akik mások, akik döntéseivel nem mindig értünk egyet, de akikért mégis nagyon drukkolunk.

Yara egy nyughatatlan lélek,olyan sebekkel, amelyeket bármilyen messzire is menekül, soha nem képes elfedni az út pora. Egyik városról a másikra költözik, és mindig más társ talál benne múzsára, de mindig hajtja a vágy, hogy menjen tovább, tovább. Seattle már a sokadik város, ahova megérkezik, de érzi, hogy lassan ismét itt az ideje továbbállni, talán visszatérni szülőhazájába, Angliába. Aztán besétál az életébe David Lisey, aki szintén múzsára talál a lányban, és aki felrúg mindent az addigi életében. Azonban ahogy mondani szokás, egy nyughatatlan lélek örökre nyughatatlan marad….

Ez egy olyan könyv volt, amely olvasás közben mindig szakított egy darabot a szívemből, és ahogy haladtunk előre a történetben, egyre inkább kezdtem eggyé válni a főhősnővel, és úgy éreztem, hogy az ő szétszaggatott szívéve dobog az én mellkasomban is. Egy nap alatt olvastam ki ezt a könyvet, leginkább azért, mert ahogy fogytak a lapok én is egyre mélyebbre kerültem a szereplőkkel együtt abban a bizonyos gödörben, és egyszerűen nem hagyhattam abba a rossz részeknél, tudnom kellett, hogy mi lesz a történet vége.

Ahogy a F*ck Love esetén itt is nagyon nagy utat járt be a történet, és itt is főhősnő lelki útkeresésén volt a hangsúly. Megszerettem a szereplőket, és minden hibáikkal együtt közel kerültek a szívemhez. Yara egy nagyon kivételes szereplő volt, és még most is elszorul a szívem, ha arra gondolok, hogy igazából egész életében „hontalanul” kereste a helyét a világban, és bár úgy tett, mintha boldog lenne így, igazából soha nem volt az.

Nagyon különleges volt ez a könyv, és semmihez sem hasonlítható. Ez egy olyan történet, amely lecsupaszítja a szívedet, amely sebezhetővé tesz, amely nem hagy nyugtot, és amely elolvasása után még hosszan-hosszan veled marad…

My Review in English

Maybe my relationship with Tarryn Fisher’s novels are a little erratic, but it’s undeniable that all of her books are really unique. This is not an average romance book either and it’s not an easy read, but I didn’t expect less. I love how the author dares pushing the boundaries and creating the kind of heroines who are different, who we don’t agree with all the time, but who we are always rooting for.

Yara is a restless soul, but it doesn’t matter how far away she runs, her wounds can’t be faded by the dust of the road. She moves from one city to another, and she always becomes a muse for another man, but she always feels the urge not to settle down but go on and on. Seattle is the umpteenth city she arrives but she already feels that she has to move on soon, maybe back to her home country, England. But then David Lisey walks into her life, who finds a muse in the girl too, and turns her world upside down. But a restless soul always will be restless…

As the story went by it stole little pieces of my heart page by page, and slowly I started to become one with the heroine and it felt like her shredded heart would beat in my chest, too. I read this book in one day, mostly because as the pages lessened I fell deeper and deeper into the hole with the characters and I just couldn’t stop at the bad part, I had to know the end of the story.

Like F*ck Love this story also has come a long way, and the focus of the story was also the path-searching of the heroin. I loved the characters and they got close to my heart even with all of their mistakes. Yara is an exceptional character and it still pains my heart when I think about how she searched her place in the world in her whole life, and although she pretended that she was happy, honestly she never was.

It was a really unique book, and I couldn’t compere it to anything. This is a story that makes you vulnerable and breaks your heart, that doesn’t let you rest and that stays with you for a long time…
