Véleményem a könyvről

***Népszerűtlen értékelés következik!*** Attól, hogy nekem nem tetszett, valószínűleg, mindenki más el fogja dobni tőle az agyát, a 4.36 –os Goodreads ratings biztos nem téved, csak lehet, hogy én vagyok rosszul bekötve. :))

Egyszerűen nem és nem! Amikor konkrétan kényszerítened kell magad, hogy olvasd azt a könyvet ami a kezedben van, akkor már tudod, hogy ebből nem sülhet ki jó. 13 napja kezdtem el ezt a könyvet, ami alatt kiolvastam 3 másikat, amikor folytatnom kellett, egyszerűen minden érdekesebb volt, a Facebook, a moly, de még a mosogatás is (új mélypont! :D). Azt hiszem, ez mindent elárul. Egyszerűen nem kedveltem a szereplőket. Idegesített Layana és Lee, Brant pedig olyan semmilyen volt. Nem tetszett a könyv stílusa, unalmas és fárasztó volt az egész. Egyedüli értékelhető dolog a „NAGY titok” volt benne, de erre is hamarabb rájöttem, így még csak ez sem tudta feledtetni velem, hogy mennyire nem csúszott ez a könyv. De a 2,5 csillag kizárólag a fordulatnak jár.

A történet főszereplője Layana, aki egy estélyen ismerkedik meg Brant-el, a dúsgazdag, informatikai zsenivel, aki korábban soha nem volt párkapcsolatban, csak éjszakai pillangók sora melegítette az ágyát, akiket nem mellesleg Jillian, a nagynénje küldözgetett hozzá. Layana azonban elrabolja Brant szívét és bár Jillian és Brant családja megpróbálja távol tartani a lányt Brant-től, ők hajthatatlanok és szerelembe esnek. Egy gyönyörű holdfényes éjszakán Brant letérdel és megkéri Layana kezét….*Record Scratch Sound Effect* …és Layana nemet mond. Hogy miért? Mert bár naaaaagyon szerelmes Brant-be, megtudta a „NAGY titkot” és így bár vele marad, de nem megy hozzá. És akkor ugrunk Lee-re. Aki egy fickó, aki a város rosszabbik feléről, akibe Layna szintén bele van zúgva, és aki koszos bárokba viszi őt, és a koszos bár, koszos mosdójában teszi magáévá és ő ettől hihetetlenül boldog, mert őt is naaaaagyon szereti.

Nem tudom Alessandra Torre minden könyve ilyen-e, de kettőből kétszer tudott teljesen idióta női főszereplőt produkálni. Layana egyszerűen logikátlan volt és idegesítő. Mert basszus tudta a „NAGY titkot”, de ahelyett, hogy bármit is csinált volna, inkább szerelembe esett egy másik férfival, Lee-vel. {Könyörgöm ahelyett, hogy segítségért fordult volna egy specialistához, inkább a saját szexuális fantáziáinak kiélésére használta Lee-t. Hónapokig szövögeti a briliáns tervét Molly ellen, bevetve pénzt, időt, mindent, de annyi briliáns esze nincsen, hogy mondjuk utánanézzen ennek a betegségnek, vagy tényleg orvosi segítségért kiáltson. Az a meg a másik kérdés, hogy hogyan tudott megbízni Jillianben, mikor tudta, hogy vaj van a füle mögött? Simán elhitte, hogy ha elmondja Brant-nek akkor eljön a világvége, és ő fogta és ennek ellenére is csak úgy kibökte neki. LOGIKA-LOGIKA-LOGIKA! Huh, tényleg nagyon felbosszantott ez a lány!}

Őszintén nem akarok rossz reklámot csinálni a Könyvmolyképző Kiadónak (hiszen az egyik kedvenc kiadóm), és csakis ezért nem fejtem ki bővebben, hogy mennyire nem feküdt most nekem ez a könyv. Azért még próbálkozni fogok Alessandra Torre könyveivel, de sajnos Tight-al szintén hasonló volt a viszonyom, úgyhogy lehet, hogy egyszerűen csak nem az én írónőm…

***Unpopular opinion coming*** Despite that I really didn’t like this book, that doesn’t mean that for others it won’t be a mind-blowing experience. This book has a 4,36 Goodreads ratings so maybe something is just wrong with me. :))

My review contains SPOILERS between curly brackets. If you want to read it, please highlight it!

Just no and no! When you have to force yourself to pick up and continue your reading, you just know that it possibly won’t turn out to be good. I started reading this book 13 days ago and since then I read three other books (which were amazing by the way! ♥) instead this one. When I picked up this book everything was more interesting, facebook, the internet, even the housework (new low point, I know. :D) but I think it tells everything about it. I simply hated the characters. Layana and Lee was really irritating and Brant was absolutely average. No sparkle. Nothing at all. I didn’t really like the writing style, and I found this story boring and exhausting.  But there was one appreciable thing and this was the “BIG secret”, but unfortunately I had a strong suspicion about it too, so it couldn’t erase the whole struggling with the reading at the end. And all the stars were given only for the twist!

The main character of the book is Layana, who meets with Brant on a fundraising gala. Brant is a computer genius billionaire who was never in a relationship before, only escorts warmed his bed (who were by the way sent by his aunt Jillian). But Layana steals Brant’s heart and although Brant’s family and Jillien tries to keep away them from each other, they still fall in love. On a beautiful moonlit night Brant kneels down in front of Layana, and he asks her to marry him…. *Record Scratch Sound Effect* … and she says no. Why? Because he loves Brant soooo much, but she found out the “BIG secret” and because of that she stays with Brant, but she won’t marry him. And now we jump to Lee, who is a random guy from the lower part of the town, whom Layana also falls in love with and who takes her to dirty bars, where he screws her in the dirty bathroom and she is so happy about it because she also loves him soooo much.

I don’t know if every book of Alessandra Torre is like this one, but two out of her two heroines were an idiot. Layana was really illogical and nerve-racking. She knew about the “BIG  secret” but instead she doing something about it, she fell in love with another man, Lee. {What the hell? Instead she turning for help, she chooses to lose herself in a sexual fantasy with Lee. She is making her brilliant plan how to rid of Molly for months not caring about the money or the time, but she is not brilliant enough to search after this disease or find a medical help. The other thing is how could she trust in Jillian despite she didn’t trusted her at all? Logical, right? She believed her in the blink of an eye that if she tells Brant the secret the world will end, and after that despite this one moment she just blurts out. What? LOGIC-LOGIC-LOGIC! Huh, I found myself on the rooftop several times because of this girl! }

I don’t want to dissuade anybody to pick up this book, but I just couldn’t see the brilliance in it. I think I will continue with trying with the books of Alessandra Torre, but unfortunately I had a similar relationship with Tight, so maybe she is just not the right author for me.
