Csupán a könyv felénél jártam, amikor kedvencnek jelöltem ezt a történetet, ugyanis volt benne valami, ami már az első pillanatoktól kezdve képes volt megszólítótani a szívemet. Amy Harmon ismét megmutatta, hogy miért ő a kedvenc szerzőm. Neki van a leggyönyörűbb, legkiemelkedőbb írásmódja, és minden egyes szót olyan gonddal és szeretettel tesz egymás mellé, hogy az olvasó úgy érzi, mintha a szívének egy darabkáját öntené a sorokba.

A The Law of Moses talán örökké a kedvenc könyvem marad, de a The Smallest Part most elfoglalta megérdemelt helyét a kötet mellett a kedvenceim polcán. Ez egy lenyűgöző, hihetetlenül egyedi, fordulatos könyv, amely kívül-belül gyönyörű. Sírtam, nevettem, összetörte a szívemet, majd összeforrasztotta. My Review in English

Amy Harmon never ceases to blow me away with her amazing talent. All of her stories are beautiful, unique, deep and powerful, filled with amazing amount of heart and soul. Days after I read this book I still can’t stop thinking about it. A few days ago I caught myself daydreaming about this story while it snowed outside and it made me think how Amy’s words can create those same magic moments when the snow starts falling with the promise that it will turn our grey world into a wonderland just in a few hours. Her stories hold the same magic and I’m always in awe when I pick up one of her books that for a few hours I can be part of this wonder what is able to make our world a little more beautiful.

We met Dr. Noah Andelin in The Law of Moses. He is a psychologist who lost his wife at a young age leaving him as a widow and a single parent to a one-year-old little girl. His life turned upside down after the tragic event but he does his best to stay strong for her little girl and in this hard time his biggest rock is his best friend, Mercedes.
Noah, Mercedes and Cora were friends since they were 10 years old. The three of them came from hard backgrounds but through their friendship they were able to create such a strong bond between them what not even years or distance could break. Until it could…

Amy Harmon is one of the few authors, who can create the most outstanding heroines. Just like the author’s other female characters, Mercedes Lopez also stole a piece of my heart forever and I truly wish I could know her in real life. She has a beautiful, pure, selfless soul and she wears her heart on her sleeve. I loved Noah, too. He is an amazing dad, a great friend and good man. He always wants to help and sees the good in everyone but he still can’t see the most important things that were in front of him in his whole life. Cora was such an enigma. She was the sun, but some kind of darkness always shadowed her mind. I loved little Gia and Oscar (the kitty) so much, too! Although I wish Oscar would have more scenes in this book, because he was an amazing addition to the story. All of the characters in the book was so layered, perfectly flawed and carefully crafted that truly blew my mind!
The way how this book built was also absolutely brilliant. The story alternated between past and present and all the chapters started with a glimpse of the past that then brilliantly connected to the present. I loved this idea so much!

I marked this book as a favorite when I was only halfway through the story, because there was something in it that spoke to my heart from the very first moments. Amy Harmon showed me again why she is my favorite author. She has the most beautiful, amazing writing style. She puts every word next to each other with much care and pours her heart into every word and line.

I think The Law of Moses always will be my favorite book ever, but now The Smallest Part found its deserved place beside it on my favorite shelf. This is an amazing, incredibly unique, twisting story what is beautiful inside and out. I cried, I laughed, it broke my heart and it healed it. This story is about friendship, love, forgiveness, parenting and second chances and it earned an everlasting place deep in my heart.
