Most már megértem miért kapott ilyen magas értékelést ez a sorozat Goodreads-en. Mert egyszerűen jó! Nincs túlkomplikálva, jól lehet szórakozni rajta és minden karakter baromi jól el van találva benne. Ritka mikor tényleg végigmegyek egy sorozat spin-offjain (általában csak a másik szemszögig jutok), mert többnyire a mellékszereplők egyszerűen nem érdekelnek annyira. Persze azért vannak kivételek, amikor minden egyes karakter kíváncsivá tesz, például ilyen volt a Pushing the Limits sorozat Katie McGarry-től, de ez elég ritka. Azonban ez a sorozat határozottan beállhat a sorba, mert hihetetlenül aranyosak és érdekesek a mellékszereplők. Hozzáteszem, hogy ez a rész sokkal jobban tetszett, mint az előző kötet!

Logant már a More Than This-ben nagyon megkedveltem, így nagyon kíváncsi voltam az ő történetére is. Az tényleg vicces, hogy a könyv alaptörténete, miszerint „Logan szerelmes a legjobb barátja barátnőjébe, Kaylaba” konkrétan az első néhány oldalon le lett zárva. És pont. Háát.. Oké.. :)) A könyv első fele úgy épül fel, hogy többször is ugrálunk a múlt és a jelen között, ami először kicsit szokatlan volt, de ezáltal megtudhattuk, hogyan ismerte meg Logan eredetileg Amandát. Ők még sokkal viccesebb páros voltak, mint Kayla és Jake. Nagyon sokat mosolyogtam az élcelődéseiken.

Logan és Amanda másfél éve találkoztak először Jake házában. Logan az a tipikus jóképű, humoros, szoknyavadász, aki egyetlen mosolyával levesz minden hölgyet a lábáról. Kivéve Amandát, aki ismerve Logan hírnevét a végsőkig kitart, mielőtt beadná a derekát a fiúnak. Egyetlen esélyt kap a srác a lánytól, de mikor Logan rájön, hogy komolyan megkedvelte Amandát, megijed, és nagyon elszúrja a kiharcolt lehetőséget. Másfél évvel később a sors úgy hozza, hogy Amanda és Logan újra egy baráti körbe kerül, így óhatatlanul is feltépődnek a régi sebek és kihagyott lehetőségek. Logan úgy dönt, jóvá szeretné tenni az akkor elszúrt dolgokat és megpróbál kiharcolni egy újabb esélyt a lánynál, ami persze nagyon vicces, aranyos és szexuálisan frusztrált jelentekhez vezet, amelyeken hihetetlenül jól szórakoztam. 🙂 Míg a könyv nagy része humoros, és aranyos jelenetekkel van teletűzdelve, a történet egyik szála ismét drámaiabbra sikerült, habár nem volt olyan hajmeresztő, mint az első kötetben, de talán ezért is tudott sokkal jobban megérinteni.

A karaktereket igazán megkedveltem. Amanda egy nagyon belevaló lány, Logan pedig tipikusan az a szereplő, akit egyszerűen nem lehet nem imádni! 🙂 Nagyon tetszett, hogy ebben a kötetben is volt néhány könyves utalás (az egyik szereplő egy nimfomániás könyvmoly lány, aki nagyon vicces karakter), és míg az előző kötetben Josh Bennett volt a lányok álom Book Boyfriend-je (Katja Millay: A Nyugalom Tengere), ebben a könyvben Dean Holder az (Colleen Hoover: Hopeless). Szóval megállapítható, hogy Jay McLean-nek igazán jó ízlése van a könyvek terén.. 🙂

Már csak egy kérdésem lenne az írónőhöz: Mi a fészkes fene volt ez a befejezés?? Ide a következő kötetet, de azonnal! 😀

My Review in English

I know now why this series got so high ratings on Goodreads. Because it is simply good. It is not too complicated, it is entertaining, humorous and every one of the characters are hilarious and brilliant. To tell the truth, it is rare that I actually read every spin-off volume of a series (usually I just read the other POV, but that’s all), simply because usually the minor characters are not enough interesting for me. There are few of the big book series when I cared about the secondary cast of characters, for example Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry which is one of my favorites, but this is pretty rare. But this series is outstanding! I really love the characters, all of them are so funny and interesting. By the way I loved so much more this part of the series than the first one!

I already loved Logan in More Than This, so I really looked forward to read about his story, too. It was a little funny, that the base story of the book is “Logan fell in love with his best friend’s girlfriend, Kayla” was closed on the very first pages. And end of story. Ooookay. 😀 The first part of the book contains time jumps between the present and the past. This way we could learn how Logan and Amanda met at first time.

Logan and Amanda met 1,5 years ago at Jake’s house. Logan is the typical handsome womanizer, who can sweep off her feet every girl with one simile. Except Amanda. She knows his reputation and she doesn’t gives in for a long time. Finally Logan gets one shot but when he realizes that he has real feelings for the girl, he gets really scared and he messes up. A year and a half later they end up in the same circle of friends which unwittingly opens some old wounds and regrets. Logan decides that he wants to make up to Amanda and he tries to fight for one more chance with the girl. This leads to really funny, sweet and sexually frustrated scenes which I loved a lot! 🙂 While a huge part of the book is lovable and humorous one thread of the story is really heartbreaking. It is not so extremely dramatic, like in the first part of the series but maybe this is the reason why was it so much believable and why could it touch me so much more.

I really loved the characters! Amanda is a really badass girl and Logan is the character who you really couldn’t not love! 🙂 They were so much funnier couple than Jake and Mikayla! I really loved the banter between them. Besides, this book was really humorous it had a little drama plotline, too, but fortunately it was not so hair-raising like in the More Than This.

I really loved the book references in this book! (One of the characters, Lucy, is a nymphomaniac bookworm girl. She is so funny and she is my favorite character!) In the first part of the series, Josh Benett (The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay) was the perfect book boyfriend, in this part Dean Holder (Hopeless by Colleen Hoover) was the winner. Okay, I really adore Jay Mclean’s taste in books! 🙂

And I have one more question for Jay Mclean. What the hell was this ending??? I need the next part, right now! 😀
